Three quarters of the population of Evenia is female. The percentage of women is only increasing while the overall number of the population is decreasing because there aren't enough men to reproduce. Our country’s vision is also to attract more women to Evenia, so they can get a better chance in life. Therefore, our female population only grows. For these reasons, we put our top scientists to work to develop a new technology that would make men unnecessary in the process of human reproduction. This way, we aim to become the first country that doesn’t need men.

The decrease in population used to be a very big problem in Evenia. So, our parliament decided something had to be done about that, but they didn’t see “more men” as the solution to their problem. So, they ordered fertility and reproductive experts to develop a technology that would make sperm cells irrelevant in the creation of a child. All you need now are a healthy egg cell from one woman and stem cells from another. By using haploid(*) stem cells and an egg cell, we were able to mimic the merging of “normal” reproductive cells.

With this new technology, men have become irrelevant in the circle of life here in Evenia. This shows once again the resourcefulness and survival skills us Evenians have developed over the years.
